Robogals Global is thrilled to announce that we have been highly commended for the 2017 Most Encouraging Student or Non-Profit Group in Gender Diversity category award, by Engineers Australia.
The award was received by Chelsea Edmonds, Regional Executive Officer for APAC, on behalf of Robogals at the Women In Engineering Winter Gala Dinner, on 5th August 2017.
Engineers Australia is the largest, principal engineering association in Australia representing more than 100,000 professionals across every level and across all fields of practice.
The national authority provides policy guidance and advice to countless organisations, institutions and government agencies across Australia to create, accredit and assess engineering programs and practitioners.
Engineers Australia offers a wide range of national awards, medals and scholarships to highlight the contribution of local organisations to the Australian engineering industry.
This award seeks to recognise local organisations that encourage gender diversity by increasing female contributions to the industry, and therefore promoting national engineering excellence.
The Robogals Global team would like to thank each and every Robogal around the world for his or her contribution to this organisation. This award is a humbling acknowledgement of all your hard work, and would not be achievable without your dedication.
We would also like to extend our warmest congratulations to ANU Fifty50, the 2017 winners of the Most Encouraging Student or Non-Profit Group in Gender Diversity category award.
This year’s nominees were judged by a panel of industry experts, based on criterion such as the number of students reached, skill development amongst group member who are female engineers, and the number of female students encouraged to study engineering as a direct result of the group’s efforts.
