I really believe in this cause! Do I have to be a female engineering student to join?
No! Our volunteers are made of up male and non-binary students, medical students, business students, graduate students, as well as professional engineers, teachers, and outreach coordinators. Everyone has something to offer in the cause of gender equity.
Do you run workshops for girls only?
The idea is that girls who lack confidence in STEM, who don’t think they will like it or be good at it ‘because they are girls’, will feel more comfortable speaking out, taking the lead, and exploring their interests in an all-girl environment1. If for any reason we cannot accommodate this environment, we are more than happy to invite everyone to the workshop!
